The series Water Falls evolved as a transition from Kypriadakis’ Natural Arch and Beneath the Surface series, influenced by her experiences in the 2023-24 Christmas/New Year tornado and floods in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Queensland, Australia.

Severely impacted by the swollen waterways, torrential rains and high winds, the unrelenting force of storm waters and ensuing devastation to her home and land, highlights the duality of water as both benign and destructive.
